Brief Profile
Dr. Jassim Fakhro, a consultant in general, metabolic, and bariatric surgery, graduated from Arabian Gulf University in 2003. He completed his postgraduate training at Geneva University Hospital, where he obtained his Swiss Board certification in visceral surgery and a fellowship in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery with honors in 2016.
Specializing in bariatric and metabolic surgery, Dr. Fakhro has performed over 5,000 cases in the last five years. Recognized for his expertise, he was honored as the best bariatric surgeon in Qatar by HMC in 2022.
Dr. Fakhro is proficient in all types of laparoscopic bariatric procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, Single Anastomosis Sleeve Ileal bypass (SASI), and revisional surgeries. He also offers intragastric balloon placement and surgical treatment for GERD.
